Back Yard Mission Day:

A Back Yard Mission Day, available by reservation on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, is designed to give your church group a mission experience — right in your own back yard.

On Saturday and Wednesday, the day begins with a session on why we do missions, followed by two hours of hands-on work in our clothes closets or food pantry. You then eat lunch — with our parishioners on Saturday, your own bag lunches on Wednesday. Afterward, we board your church van for a tour of the homeless community that surrounds Triune. A homeless or formerly homeless person will accompany us to answer your questions. After the tour, we will return to the church for a period of theological reflection.

A Sunday Mission Day begins with 11 AM worship in the beautiful Triune Chapel, followed by serving and eating lunch, an orientation, tour and reflection.

In return, we request a $15-per-person offering to help finance the ministries of the Mercy Center. We ask that participants be 9th grade to adult.

To make a reservation, call Deb at 233-3402.
